Located around 12km to the East of Alanya, Konakli is a lovely town with a population of around 30,000 permanent residents.

Built on the coastal road that runs from Antalya, Alanya is only 10 minutes away by car. It is also well served by the local dolmus service, which runs every 10 minuts, 24 hours a day. Antalya airport (the only airport in Southern Turkey open 12 months of the year) is just over an hour away, making for very reasonable transfer times.

The town centre itself is well established, with many shops along with restaurants, bars and cafes. The Konakli Belediyesi (local council) has done a beautiful job of styling the town, with lots of green areas, fountains, and small parks. The beach is typical for this coast, pleasant but not awe-inspiring.

Konakli also boasts one of the biggest and best discotheques in South Turkey, Summer Garden. Drawing holiday makers out from Alanya, this huge open air complex serves an a la carte restaurant from 8pm until midnight, and then carries on into the early hours with 1000 to 1500 party makers daily.

Like many Turkish resorts, the beach coast itself is dominated by tourist hotels. The majority of the property available is to the North side of the coastal road, however it is possible to find some re-sale properties on the beach side as well.

There are also relatively few apartments in Konakli. Because of the concept of the town, most of the available properties are villas, usually on well maintained and established complexes with communal swimming pools. These villas will start from around €95,000, going up in price as you get closer to the town centre or beach.
